معايير كتابة الأبحاث

Manuscript Preparation:

 

     Manuscripts should be printed on A4 paper, 1, 5 line space with margins of at least 1 inch on font 12 and font type time new roman. Pages should be numbered consecutively, beginning with the title page on Font 14. Manuscripts should not exceed twelve pages, including references, tables and illustrations. The text and references should follow the PSJN Format:

1.Cover Letter 

     The cover letter serves to introduce a submission to the editorial staff. The letter should explain any potential conflicts concerning the exclusive nature of the paper. 

 

 

 

 

2. Title

Include the article title (title should be written in block letters), the running title, author(s) name, professional title and institution(s) 

Affiliations. Include the corresponding author's name and exact postal address, current e-mail, telephone. 

Name of the author or authors should appear as first name, initials for second name followed by the surname (family name).

3.Abstract

Do not exceed 250 words on font size10 and font type time new roman , do not include abbreviations, footnotes or references. The abstract will have four sections ( Background, Aim of the study, Materials and Methods and Results) Conclusion/  recommendations will explain the significance of the work. A summary of an Arabic should accompany the manuscript not exceeding (250) words and should not be a strict translation of the English abstract. 

Key Wards:  should include at the end of the abstract page, not more than five key words in alphabetical order, separated by comma. 

4.Introduction

Include relevant literature related to the problem of study, and state the reasons and purposes behind the study. Abbreviations should be spelled out the first time they are used.

5. Material and Methods

Include the setting where the study was done, subjects of the study and     criteria for selection, tools for data collection and study design and procedure.

 

 

 

 

6.Results

Use tables and figures where appropriate, to improve the clarity of presentation. Type the tables double-spaced on separate sheets. Place the table number (in Arabic numerals) and title above the table and any explanation notes below the table.  Submit the figures in their actual size. 

The figure number and an arrow pointing to the top, on the back of each figure. 

7.Discussion

Discuss the results in relation to other relevant studies in the same field.  

8.Conclusion and Recommendations

A conclusion may review the main points of the paper followed by recommendations.

9. References

A reference list must be included using the American Psychological Association (APA) reference style (6th ed.).
