Abstract Faba bean i a on6 of the most important f i e l d crops in Bgypt8 and many otner c o u n t r i e s . uaf spots a r e t h e moat deetructive diaeaees of faba bean in agypt. Studies were c a r r i e d out on t h e s e diaeases and revults revealed the following: 1- Survey leaf spots in t h r e e governorates, Kafr hl-Sheikh Dakahlia and dharkia ahowed that faba bean p l a n t s are a t t a c k e d by dotrytis fatae and Alternaria a l t e r n a t a which caused l e a f spots in varying degrees of s e v e r i t y . It wae found that b o t r y t i a Pabae was more prevalent and deatructure than r i l t e r n a r i a a l t e r n a t a . Sixteen i s o l a t e s of b o t r y t i e fabae were obtained during t h e aurvey a rid w e r e almost similar in t h e i r virulence. 2- ’I’eating t h i r t y - s i x e n t r i e s f o r t h e i r reaponae t o chemic a l oontrol by bithaneu 43, led t o divide theae entrie~ in t o t h r e e groups: (a) 1-st group v e r y s u s c e p t i b l e , arid having no reaponse t o chemical control 8.g I1Kebaya 40”.
