”Abstract
The aim of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of electronic mind maps and logic in developing mathematical proof and reducing mathematics anxiety among second- grade preparatory school girls. To achieve this goal, the researcher prepared two geometry units from the mathematics textbook for the second-grade preparatory school, using electronic mind maps and logic rules, teacher’s guide and activity sheet for pupil. Also, mathematical proof skills test in the geometry units and the mathematics anxiety scale were prepared. The research sample was chosen from two schools (Nabrouh Preparatory Girls, Bahout Preparatory Girls) in the Nabrouh Educational Administration of Dakahlia Governorate during the first semester of the year 2022/2023. The research sample consisted of (80) female pupils who were divided into two groups, experimental group with (40) female pupils, and the control group with (40) female pupils. The results of the research showed the effectiveness of using electronic mind maps and logic rules in developing Mathematical proof skills and in reducing mathematics anxiety among second grade preparatory school pupils. Also, the results showed significant negative correlation at (α = 0.05) between the scores of Mathematical proof skills and mathematics anxiety for the experimental group pupils in the post-test. In light of these results, the researcher presented some recommendations and suggested research.
