Abstract

Egypt is currently witnessing a modern and advanced construction era, which is characterized by its stunning mega structures and technological developments in the construction and transportation fields. With this development, there seems to be a pressing need to provide more fire safety precautions, as fire dangers increase with increasing the scale of the building, also as the number of occupants increases the probability of fatalities increases in case of fire as well. The various activities that the occupants’ practice in a single building also are directly proportional to all the past factors. Moreover, occupant load increases the fire loads which makes evacuation plans more sophisticated to execute and this also decreases the occupants’ survival chances.
The most significant application of safety in buildings is discussed in the thesis because of the remarkable need for fire protection, and the challenges that these standards may face in the local market are investigated.
the most advanced materials currently in use internationally are Clarified and how they are reflected in finishing materials-just to meet the highest fire safety requirements in buildings-is one of this thesis’ most significant concerns.
One of the main goals of the research is to show architects and designers the effectiveness of using flame retardant nanomaterials as finishing materials, not only as a liner or underlayer, to increase safety in residential buildings and towers. It also focuses on the impact of these materials on the designs of the spaces as compared to using conventional materials with a dull appearance, which the designs always need to clad, or even sophisticated insulations. Architects can pay more attention to the remarkable transformation that can be made in architecture to reach high life safety standards in any building with comprehensive design configurations as a result of the introduction of new Nano FR finishing materials. This research is essential Because there is a lack of studies and data on this topic and architects urgently need such materials to sustain their designs.
In addition, the behavior and benefits of nanoparticles, nanotechnology, nanoscience, and nanomaterials are identified. The classification of nanomaterials and their function in fire safety are also discussed. The research outlines the varieties and benefits of Nano flame retardants as well.
The thesis focuses on Nano flame retardant glass and its specifications and discusses the function of glass and its significance in architecture. It also examines further properties of Nano FR glass as a case study material through an analysis of its global applications. Furthermore, analysis is done on the applied Flame retardants in Iconic Tower in CBD.
After completing an online survey, the key survey questions are provided to achieve the conclusions. finally reached the main general recommendations, conclusions, and suggestions.
