The current study aimed to identify the conceptual framework of the production function in universities and formulas of application, and to analyze the reality of financial sustainability systems in Egyptian universities and to benefit from various international models in achieving financial sustainability systems in universities in light of the challenges of the knowledge society. It also aimed to identify the most important challenges that the knowledge society poses to Financial sustainability systems in universities, and identifying the most important requirements for employing the production function in achieving financial sustainability in Egyptian universities, and aiming to monitor the steps of applying the production function model in achieving financial sustainability, in order to develop a proposed vision to achieve financial sustainability for Egyptian universities by employing the production function.
The study relied on the descriptive approach to analyze the reality of spending on Egyptian universities and its suitability with the requirements of access to the knowledge society. In order to develop a proposed concept for the study.
Based on the theoretical study and the targeted statistics of the production function and the analysis of budgets, as well as the requirements for applying the production function, the study came up with a proposed vision to achieve financial sustainability in Egyptian universities using the production function, which touched on a number of main aspects, which were represented in the philosophy from which the concept emerged, and the goals That it seeks to achieve, with a review of the most important starting points on which the vision was based, and the most important postulates on which it was based, with an identification of the most important characteristics of the vision, with a review of the features of activating financial sustainability systems in Egyptian universities in light of the challenges of the knowledge society, through the development of a number of mechanisms that must be followed Upon implementation, in addition to the need to have a set of elements that adhere to contribute to the success of the process of implementing the proposed vision developed by the study.
