Abstract Zn-Al nano layers was prepared by precipitation method and increasing the interlayered spacing among the nanolayers by host-guest interaction. characterization of the prepared materials by using X-ray diffraction, FTIR spectra and thermal analysis techniques. Intercalation of the nano-materials increase the hydrophobic character for the nanolayers through organic-inorganic nanohybrids. Using the synthesized materials in evaluation of extraction of different ratios of mono, Di and poly aromatics models compounds using bed adsorption process and analysis by high performance Liquid chromatography did not give reputable results so Gas chromatographic technique was used and give acceptable results. Diesel fuel applied for aromatics removal by this Zn Al nano-materials, the performance was not acceptable due to cake formation. Fe-Co nano layers was prepared by precipitation method and modified by intercalation of organic host to increase hydrophobic character. characterization of the prepared materials by using X-ray diffraction, FTIR spectra and thermal analysis.
