Abstract

Cloud computing is a technology that is rapidly developing and spreading. It has many advantages. However, there are a number of security issues that exist in cloud storage sites, which are usually secured through traditional authentication and this is the most traditional method for repeated attacks. Therefore, it is necessary to come up with the use of new authentication methods that increase security while preserving the data in it. User authentication is calssified into three different types namely, the knowledge factor such as username and password, the possession factor such as one time password (OTP) and the biometric factor such as face recognition. In this study, a user identity verification system based on multi-factor authentication to improve the level of security of access to data in cloud storage sites, where the proposed security system is logged in in general and for each level of security in particular. The data is based on the degree of its importance to the user and when entering the data of the low level insurance through single-factor authentication (username and password) and for entering data for medium level insurance via two-factor authentication (username, password and Time-based One-time Password) and for entering the data of the high level insurance by multi-factor authentication (username, password ,TOTP and face recognition).The proposed security system was applied to a sample of students of the first year, Department of Computer Teacher Preparation, Faculty of Specific Education, Damietta University, and the sample consisted of (33) students. The proposed system, the proposed system, is a performance note card, and the results have led to the effectiveness of the proposed insurance system in order to enhance the security and privacy of data in cloud storage sites.
