Abstract

Bacterial infection especially vibrio is the most prominent cause theaten shrimp culture in Egypt. Such infection especially vibrio parahymolyticus stoped the farming of cultured Fenneropenaeus indicus in Egypt any more. Regarding to antibiotic sensitivity test, Vibrio parahaemolyitcus isolates were sensitive to Ciprofloxacin and Novobiocine but it was resistant to Amoxicillin and Colstin sulphat. As a field trial to control vibrio infection without using antibiotic, the current results proved the beneficial effect of using probiotic as water bioremidation product improving pond water quality and growth promotor. In addition, to be an environmental friendly substitute to antibiotic to control vibrio.
