Abstract

The elements of an organizational climate have a linkages related to nurse teacher’s performance. Organizational climate factors affect on the nurse teachers performance. Positive organizational climate lead to elevation of nurse teacher’s performance which influence the student’s level and their abilities and skills.
The study was aimed at assessing the influence of organizational climate on nurse teacher’s performance through: Assessing organizational climate from the point of view of nurse teacher’s. Determining the levels of performance among nurse teachers. Investigating the relationship between organizational climate and performance among nurse teacher’s.
This study was conducted at Technical Health Institute which affiliated to Imbaba at Giza Governorate using correlational descriptive design. The subjects for the study including all nurse teachers who were available at the time of data collection their number are (59) nurse teachers.
Tools of data collection:
The data for this study were collected through two tools namely. The first Tool: organizational climate questionnaire. It consists of two parts. First part included demographic characteristics data of the respondents as; age,gender, marital status, qualification, years of teaching experience and courses. Second part it was adopted from (Raza 2009) aimed to assess organizational climate. It consists of (45) items grouped into ten dimensions namely: Communication, participation, job safety, role conflict, leadership, work environment, workload, Clarity role, nature of the work and commitment. The second tool an observational check list which adopted from (Mosbah, 2009) to assess nurse teachers performance. It consist of (27) items grouped into five main dimensions namely: Work and recruitment responsibilities, administrative responsibilities, work relations responsibilities, educational responsibilities and professional responsibilities. A pilot study was conducted on (6) nurse teachers. They represent 10% of subjects in the study setting to examine the sequence of items, feasibility, practicability and tool clarity, of the language and for estimating the time needed to fill it out. Data entry and statistical analysis were done by using (SPSS) Version 18. Data were presented using descriptive statistics in the form of frequencies and percentages for qualitative variables. Means and standard deviation and range of quantitative variables. Student t-test (t) was used for comparisons between quantitative variables. Statistical significance was considered at p-value <0.05 and highly significant at p-value <0.01. Correlation Coefficient (r) test was used to test the closeness of association between two variables.results of the study revealed that:
Based on the study findings, it can be summarized that, more than third of nurse teachers (44.1%) had age less than thirty years old the range of the subject’s age was (25-48) years and it is mean score (35.3±10.2). As regard, the majority of the study subject from the female (96.6%) near to three thirds of the study sample were married (74.6%), qualification, less than two thirds of the study sample had nursing bachelor degree (64.4%). less than two thirds of nurse teachers (45.8%) had teaching experience less than ten years, the range of subjects experience was (5-25) years and it is mean score (18.1±7.3).
Leadership dimension of organizational climate had the highest mean score, (21.2 ± 7.2) followed by work load (17.1 ± 2.7). While the lowest mean score was job safety (8.7 ± 2.1). dimension of organizational climate, followed by role clarity (9.15 ± 1.6).
More than half of nurse teachers (52.5%) had Positive perception regarding organizational climate. about three fifths of the study sample (47.5%) had inadquate job performance level. There was a significant positive correlation between total organizational climate and total job Performance of studied nurse teachers. Which proved the rsearch hypothies.
