Abstract

Oral communication in a foreign language is one of
the difficulties faced by high school students. The specialists have
proposed many methods of teaching in order to reach an optimal
approach that will help both, the student as well as teacher in their
class of Spanish as a foreign language.
However, before presenting solutions, we must determine
the status of the Spanish language in the governmental and private
Egyptian schools, based on a survey given to Egyptian students in
high school.
The textbooks and the educational system followed are
considered as one of the most eminent factors of: the level, the
acquisition and the use of the student to the Spanish language as a
foreign language.
The main objective of this work is to demonstrate the
obstacles that impede the process to the teacher in applying of
task-based learning approach and the communicative and auditory
skills for the secondary student. Thus we provide a didactic model
of how to apply the oral communication between the Egyptian
students of the Spanish language through the task-based
learning approach.
The work is divided into four chapters in addition to an
introduction that briefly shows the importance of the study, its
hypothesis and its methodology.
Chapter I: presents the theoretical framework, the methods of
teaching foreign languages until presenting in detail the task-based
learning approach.
Chapter II: presents the result of a survey given to the Egyptian
students in the national and private secondary schools.
Chapter III: analyzes three didactic manuals used in the Egyptian
schools of state and private international secondary and detects the
application of the criteria of the CEFR.
Chapter IV: exposes a model of a didactic unit that is based on
communicative teaching and the task-based learning approach.
At the end we devoted a section to a general conclusion followed
by the bibliography.
