Abstract
The present investigation was conducted during 1992, 1993 and 1994 seasons on sewy date palms grown in a sandy soil in an orchard located at EL- Dakhlan oasis, new valley governorate.
The study aimed to examine the response of sewy date palm to pollination two growth regulators namely GA3 and NAA and the two nutrients i.e. magnesium and boron.
The experiment involved four factors i.e. two pollination treatment namely pollination or un pollination three plant growth regulator treatments namely GA3 and /or NAA, five GA3 and NAA concentration treatments namely 0.0, 5.0, 10.0, 15.0 or 20.0ppm and later four nutrition treatment namely control, magnesium sulphate at 0.5, boric acid at 0.2,or combined application of them there fore one hundred and twenty treatments were involved in this experiment. Pollination application of GA3 and /or NAA concentrations of GA3 and NAA and nutrition treatments occupied the main plots sub plots sub plots and sub sub sub plots respectively hand pollination was carried out once after full bloom.
