This study aims a t i n v e s t i g a t i n g a s p i r a t i o n md school performance of r u r a l youth. This aim is pursued through o:rplorbg c o r r e l a t i o n s of educu tional aspirat i o n , occupational aspiration and school perfomnance of rlineth grdors in aorne Kafr P1-Sheikh rural community -. Most of the future occupational d i s t r i b u t i o n and eoclal s t r a t i f i c a t i o n w i l l be determined through the impact of aspiration and school performance. Reside8 , rural-urban ntigration streams w i l l also be affected by the same f actors. Eence, this study may ohed some l i g h t t h a t enables polic2 rn&ers f o r e c a s t and/or deal with anticipated events. Available l i t e r a t u r e has been reviewed with purpose of building t h e theoritical framework of the stpdy. Nineteen hypotheses havo been fornulatad and t e s tea.
