المستخلص
The dissertation deals with the efforts done by Sheikh Ibrahim Al Yazgi in the linguistic study, through identification of the importance of the issue, motifs of selection, objectives and the methodology. In addition, it dealt with his birth and its effect on his linguistic thought, and the conclusions of the same thought.
The dissertation classifies the writings of Al Yazgi in accordance to the five linguistic levels: phonetics, morphology, grammar, lexical and semantic, through identification of his efforts in the phonetic study, and comparison between his efforts and the efforts of ancients and modernists in the same field, through mentioning the aspects of agreement and disagreement between him and them.
Moreover, the dissertation presents the efforts of Al Yazgi in the morphological study and comment on them in the light of the modern linguists.
Furthermore, it presents the efforts of Al Yazgi in the lexical and semantic study, through criticizing the ancient lexicons, and development of his two lexicons, newspapers language ”Loghat Al Jara’ed”, ”Nagaat Al Ra’ed” and ”Sharaat Al Wared Fi Al Motradef wal Motawared”
where the efforts of Al Yazgi were used for newspapers and magazines therein.
The dissertation concludes with the most important conclusions and recommendations of the dissertation.
