Abstract
The aim of the present work was to study the degree of QT dispersion and variability in young diabetic patients and correlate the degree ofQT dispersion with some of the clinical variable of the diabetic syndrome. This work comprised 30 young diabetic patients with age ranged from 12-35 years as test group and 10 control subjects of matched age and sex. They were classified into the following subgroups:- 1- According to the type of DM. a- Type I b..; Type II 2- According to the duration of DM. a- Less than 5 years comprised 18 patients. b- More than 5 years comprised 12 patients. 3- According to the presence of systemic hypertension. a- With b- Without 4- According to the state of diabetic contro1. a- Controlled include 23 patients. b- Uncontrolled include 7 patients. 5- According to the presence of diabetic autonomic neuropathy. a- With include 11 patients.
