Abstract
Forty male impotent patients, 20 of them are diabetic, were subjected. to history taking with emphasis on sexual function diabetic state and any .complication of diabetis like intermittent claudications or tingling and numbness. Psychological troubles and wife factors were also asked about.Examination of the patients included the neurologic reflexes of erection, ejaculation and emission, genital. examinations, dorsalis pedis, femoral and dorsal artery of the penis Pulsations, and penile sensation. After history taking and clinical examination, the patients. were subjected to evaluation of PBI, penile biothesiometry and SPACE which was In this study, it was found that PGEl produced more relaxation electrodes of cavernous smooth muscles, and. hence better erection, than papaverine, but the difference. was not statistically significant.
