Abstract This research includes an experimental program to determine the properties of polymer concrete using different additions (euxit 50 - sika top 122 – dolomite – sand – water – magnesium – sodium – polypropylene). Twenty-six concrete mixes were cast during the experimental program. The specimen’s dimensions were cubes (7*7*7 cm) and (5*5*5 cm), cylinders (5*10 cm), (Prisms 4*4*16 cm) and Slabs (20*20*20 cm). Compressive, tensile, flexure and bond strength were conducted to evaluate the properties, impact loads and microstructure. We evaluate the compressive strength with different temperature and the mechanical properties with different adding magnesium, sodium and polypropylene. At sika top122 we used a constant ratio of water that equals 35% of sika top 122 for all mixes from 1:1 to 1:16 in sixteen concrete mixes. At euxit 50 we divided it into four groups in eight concrete mixes, first group had four mixes with fine aggregate (natural sand) and euxit 50 and without adding any water or coarse aggregate. The second and third groups components were coarse aggregate (natural dolomite), fine aggregate (sand) and euxit 50 (welded polymer material) with variable mix ratios. Each group mixes had the same euxit 50 to aggregate (coarse and fine) ratio which is 1:5 and 1:6 for the second and every group has two mixes with fine aggregate (natural sand) to dolomite 1:1 and 1:2. Four group had two mixes with fine aggregate (natural sand), euxit 50 with adding polypropylene and without adding any water or coarse aggregate with ratio 1:4. All the results of tests were summarized. we put our recommendations and suggestion of the best mix for introducing all the followers (Polymer concrete with high mechanical properties, Concrete that exhibition to magnesium ABSTRACT II and sodium and get the best high mechanical properties. We adding polypropylene to concrete mixes and get high mechanical properties). |
