Abstract

Male sexual hormones (androgens) and gametes are both produced primarily by the testes, which are the major reproductive organs of the male reproductive system. Moreover, they synthesize male steroid hormones. One of the main auxiliary glands in the male reproductive system is the prostate gland, a walnut-sized organ located close to the underside of the urinary bladder. The prostate and seminal vesicles create the majority of the ejaculate. The prostatic secretion’s primary functions are related to coagulation, liquification, and gelation of semen. Testicular and prostatic damage could eventually lead to male infertility, also prostatic diseases including prostatic hyperplasia and prostatitis that are closely linked to morbidity (Chapin, 2014; Miller & Brown DuTeaux, 2005;
Verze et al., 2016).By inhaling contaminated air, consuming contaminated food, and drinking contaminated water, Humans as well as animals are subjected to lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and aluminum (Al) are only a few of the environmental toxins. Studies showed that these harmful metals impair male spermatogenesis, reduce male fertility, and encourage testicular degeneration and prostate diseases, all of which led to low sperm counts, abnormal sperm morphological features and inadequate semen quality in males (López-Botella et al., 2021).
