The Performance Requirements of Piano Pieces (Stories of Dreaming Soul, Op. 39) by Theodore Akimenko Since the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the national musical culture of Ukraine has developed at an accelerated pace. Author Theodor Akimenko covers all kinds of developments in world music and the impact of unstable social and political conditions on music. Akimenko was among the first initiators to keep pace with this thematic and stylistic development of modern Ukrainian music. Despite the fact that recently this period of development of Ukrainian music inspires artists and composers more and more interest in musicologists and performers, there is still a need for more. from in-depth research on forgotten or unknown Ukrainian composers from this era, to creating a comprehensive picture of the trends of Ukrainian artists in general and the details of Ukrainian piano performance style in particular.The research includes: The first chapter includes two sections, the first of which is: an introduction, the research problem, its objectives, its importance, research questions, its limits, and research terms. The second section: previous studies related to the research topic. Chapter Two: The theoretical framework: First: The life of Theodor Stepanovich Akimenko and his most important works. Second: characteristics of Theodor Stepanovich Akimenko’s piano performance style.Chapter Three, Applied Framework: Structural, theoretical, and instrumental analysis of five Piano Pieces (Stories of Dreaming Soul, Op. 39) by Theodore Akimenko, and an attempt to define the performance requirements and playing difficulties, and suggest musical exercises and instructions on how to overcome them. Then the results reached by the researcher, then recommendations, proposals, and references
