Abstract SUMMARY Nowadays consumers are very much conscious about eco- friendliness along with the aesthetic appeal. Due to that, the present study has demonstrated the efficiency of bioactive compounds extracted from two medicinal plants chamomile flower (CF) and Haematoxylum Campechianum L. bark as a natural colorant for dyeing cotton fabric. The colorants extracted from these two medicinal plants were utilized for simultaneous dyeing and finishing of cotton fabric for maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment. All the dyed cationized and biomordanted cotton fabrics show a great potential for producing valueadded biomedical textile products. Subsequently, the main target of this study was focused on: 1- Evaluate the performance of natural colorant extract from plant. 2-Phytochemical analysis and characterization analysis of the extracted dye. 3-Bioactive finishing and dyed cotton fabrics via simple simultaneous coloration method. 4-Color and fastness properties of the dyed fabric in absence and presence of nano particles under corresponding ISO standards method. |
