Abstract The present study was conducted in Surgery, Anesthesiology and Radiology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University as surgical experimental trials with approval from the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee Zagazig University (ZU-IACUC) under the approval number: ZU-IACUC/2/F/108/2021. The proposed study was carried out on a total number of 24 clinically healthy male mongrel dogs aged approximately 3-5 years and 15-20 Kg, subjected to induced cutaneous wounds at the back of the animals with dimensions (3.5X3.5cm) under complete general anesthesia. All animals used in the present experimental trial subjected clinically for general health condition examination. The dogs were kept and managed in kennels, given rabies vaccine and treated two weeks before operation with internal and external antiparasitic drug to guard against the possible parasitic infestation. The animals were fed on maintenance ration twice daily and free access to water. |
