The researcher conducted a study entitled “The effect of high-intensity intermittent training on the concentration of the erythropoietin hormone and some physiological variables in swimmers.” The study aims to identify the effect of the high-intensity interval training program on the concentration of the erythropoietin hormone and some physiological variables in swimmers. The study was conducted on a sample of swimmers enrolled in the Al-Hiwar Club. The athlete included 12 swimmers in two groups, swimmers for the control group and 6 swimmers for the experimental group, during the age group 14-15 years, born in 2007 (2008). The researcher used the experimental method using two groups, one experimental and the other control, using pre- and post-measurement. The most important results were a clear improvement in The concentration of the erythropoietin hormone and some physiological variables for the benefit of the experimental group that implemented the high-intensity intermittent training program (HLLT). The control group achieved a percentage of improvement in the erythropoietin hormone variables and some physiological variables, which ranged between the highest percentage of improvement in the erythropoietin hormone variable with a value of (16.59%) and the lowest percentage. Improvement of the maximum relative oxygen consumption variable by -1.52%. While this percentage in the experimental group ranged between the highest percentage of improvement in the erythropoietin hormone variable with a value of (43.18%), while the lowest percentage of improvement in the pulse rate variable HR was with a value of (3.72), which indicates the progress of the experimental group.
