Abstract

Recently the usage of agricultural and industrial wastes and by-products have greatly increased, which raised numerous environmental issues and increased the possibility of natural resource’s contamination such as, water, air, and soil.
During the past decades, the organic waste levels has greatly increased, and their wastes have been handled ineffectively since they are either disposed incorrectly or scorched. Concrete is known to be a very important component of the building materials, during its creation procedure, numerous wastes that affect the environment are produced. Likewise, this study investigates the possibility of designing a new plain concrete mixture prototype in which portions of date palm mesh that are considered one of the most significant organic waste sources will be added to design eco-friendly concrete with improved properties.
A theoretical qualitative method will be used in this study to investigate and analyze previous research to attain the best experimental procedure, while using experimental quantitative research method to measure the efficiency of different experimental concrete mixtures after partially adding palm trees residues with different methods of treatment. The conducted experiments will focus on measuring the strength, density, thermal conductivity, slump, and absorption of the prototypes.
