المستخلص

The study aimed to monitor and describe the communication strategies and activities practiced by the public relations departments in Libyan banks and the extent of their use of technological means with the target audience and the importance of using the official websites of banks and their official pages on social networks from the point of view of those dealing with these banks. The study relied on the survey approach, and the study was applied The analysis included a sample of Libyan public banks, represented by the Commercial Bank - Sahara Bank - Al Wahda Bank - Jumhouria Bank, and another sample of private banks, namely North Africa Bank - Al Waha Bank - Trade and Development Bank - Al Aman Bank, by studying the website and Facebook page A questionnaire was also applied to an available sample of (400) individuals from the Libyan public, and the most important results were as follows:
- There is a correlation between the respondents’ use of the official websites or the official pages on the social networking sites of the Libyan banks that they prefer to deal with, and the impact of new technology on the methods of communicating public relations with customers.
- There is a statistically significant correlation between the respondents’ interaction while using the official websites and the official pages of banks and the extent of their satisfaction with the communication activities of public relations in these banks.
