Abstract

Green and sustainable buildings are considered the most popular topics in design architecture and Structural fields according to their importance in preserving the natural environment and minimizing the energy consumption for electrical systems. The energy saving is matched by _a considerable reduction in energy costs. Saving energy is a form of monetary reduction from the current costs, while other methods will cut costs in the future. In addition to being a sustainable material, steel may also be used to construct structures, which can considerably offer novel solutions over the course of a building’s whole life cycle and so contribute to the features of green buildings. An efficient cooling system that offers air conditioning similar to what an electric air conditioner offers. Passive design, which increases indoor ventilation and offers enough ambient , light. Solar panels assist in generating the ’appropriate quantity of power for domestic use. Design Builder simulation software is used to model thermal variance. This research variety many % factors in design of the Youth Directorate Building, in Bagdad, Iraq. In this study intends to reduce theafnount of consumption electric energy used for heating argd cooling the building. The effect of the building facade, the design _ of the outside walls’, the distribution of glass, and the form of the structure are among the factors that are being dicern. The annual building energy consumption is simulated using by DesignBuilder program. The programmer makes use of hourly weather data that is gathered annually and displays thermal variance. DesignBuilder Program has emerged for ease of handling of the building in different phases such as design, occupancy, and maintenance, as well as complete visualization of building’s components and their effects on environment. In addition, DesignBuilder Software simulates building to learn about the thermal consumption CO2 emission rate. Green is one of industrialization strategies used to improve the performance and quality of buildings. The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare how energy-efficient between conventional and green systems.
