Abstract

The current research introduces the assessment of single frequency static precise point positioning technique in post processing mode under varies environments. The research focuses on the evaluation of SF-PPP using Global Ionospheric Maps (GIMs), produced from the available IGS stations, to mitigate the ionospheric delay applied to areas lacking from IGS stations like Egypt and compared to areas with rich IGS station like Europe. The accuracy results of SF-PPP in Egypt are two times worst compared to Europe. The research also introduces and tests the implementation of the available CORS stations in Egypt in producing local ionospheric maps predicted from the estimated VTEC values at CORS stations to improve the accuracy of SF-PPP in Egypt. The accuracy of SF-PPP is improved two times with using such local ionospheric maps.
