Abstract
The anterolateral thigh flap is a flap of unsurpassed versatility. No other donor site in the body offers such large amount of tissue with such minimal donor morbidity (Kimata, Uchiyama et al. 2000). With the current understanding of the vascular anatomy of this flap as elucidated in this study, the anterolateral thigh flap can reliably and safely be harvested in most patients.
