Abstract

from chapter 1 shown that ionic liquids gained massive growth in recent years for their distinguished characterization like non-volatile and designed media for variable chemical and industrial application. ChCl based IL electrolyte was determined for electrodeposition as this electrolyte can be recycled after use. However, during electrodeposition this electrolyte decomposes and brews large amount of harmful chlorinated products. It showed during deposition that with increase in applied current, the amount of unwanted products get increased. So, a series of deposition experiments with varying current density should be occurred to determine the suitable current density to eliminate these undesirable products. The obtained electrodeposited alloy was only characterized from its structural points but for various industrial applications, different characteristics of the deposit should be studied. from chapter 2 shown the instrumentals that is use in the eutectic mixtures by mixing ChCl and EG (1:2) at 100oC with continuous stirring until homogenous colorless liquid established and also shown the methods that is used for production Sn-Ag alloy. Chapter 3 shown that Sn-Ag alloy uses in several electrical, electronic and mechanical component fabrication. Thus mechanical, electrical and electronic properties of the deposit after studied for its successful applications. Also, chapter 3 prove that the Sn-Ag alloys offered high catalytic activity for hydrogen production from 0.5 molL-1 NaOH solution, the electroplated Sn-35Ag and Sn-97Ag alloys are the most functional electrocatalysts for HER. Present studies still many avenues were opened up in the contexts of applications of green chemistry.
