Abstract

Masturbation is defined as the manual stimulation of the male or female genitals, not by sexual intercourse, designed to produce an orgasm.Masturbation could be defined as an act of exciting sexual organs by rubbing, stroking, pressing, fondling, or other forms of manipulations. It is also called as orgasmic experience. Masturbation is a peculiar human practice and express sexual outlet related to the onset of sexual development.Factors that cause female practice masturbation are; curiosity ,un familiarity with sexual issues ,seclusion ,family problem, lasting disease, premature puberty, stress ,anxiety ,suspicious and un friendly friendship, sense of inferiority, imitation, culture factors and lack of affection.Prevalence and frequency of masturbation depend on age, gender, education, race and ethnicity, replacement of intercourse, sexual health and satisfaction and religion.Negative societal implications to masturbation: Despite its apparent widespread prevalence, masturbation is a highly stigmatized topic viewed negatively across settings. In research on sexual behavior, masturbation is among the most sensitive topics, and underreporting by adolescents has been found even with the use of confidential reporting techniques.Sex and religious education is a process of acquiring knowledge and forming the awareness, approach and behavior about gender, sexual identity, sexual awareness, appropriate behavior and confidence in our relationship with the opposite sex.
