Abstract

This study “the ceremonies and the protocols in Egypt from 1805 to 1952” is detecting the different ceremonies and protocols of the monarchs and the ruling family in Egypt from 1805 to 1952. The thesis is consisting of two main volumes. The first volume is comprising an introduction and four main chapters, in addition to a conclusion.
The first chapter of the thesis is discussing in details the Egyptian protocol and the main institutions, which are regulating it. It is also giving a full description for the official dresses, orders and ranks, in addition to the official processions and the royal carriages.
The second chapter of the study is dealing with the official ceremonies as those of opening the parliament, the investitures of the monarchs, the official visits of the monarchs and the official receptions of the ambassadors and the plenipotentiary ministers in the occasion of presenting their credentials.
The third chapter of the thesis is demonstrating the social ceremonies and protocols, which were being followed in the different social occasions. It is describing in details the wedding ceremonies of the monarchs and their funerals, in addition to the celebrations of their birthdays.
The forth chapter is explaining in details the social ceremonies and protocols of the ruling family members. It is discussing in details the wedding and the funeral ceremonies of the princes and the princesses, in addition to their birth and their birthdays celebrations.
