Abstract This thesis contains: The preparation of 5-(4’-alkylphenylazo)-3-phenylamino-2-thioxothiazolidin-4-one (HL1-5) as well as their Co(II) and Ru(III) complexes and the preparation of Schiff bases of 4-aminoantipyrine (L6-10). All prepared compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity, 1H NMR, UV-Vis, IR, mass spectroscopy, X-ray, magnetic measurements, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and the molecular structures. Also studying the molecular docking for some investigated ligands. Studying the DNA binding, antimicrobial activity, antioxidant, cytotoxic and antitumor activity for ligand (HL1-5) and its metal complexes. Determination of dissociation constant, pKH, of ligand (HLn) and metal-ligand stability contsant, log K, of their complexes with Cu(II), Co(II), Mn(II) and Ni(II). Studying the optical properties of thin films of L6 and L7 by spectrophotometric technique. Studying Schiff base ligands L(8-10) as corrosion inhibitors for for Q235 steel. |
