Abstract

Foot and mouth disease is a highly contagious viral disease affect all cloven hoofed animals , characterized by fever , vesicles formation , ropy salivation , ulceration on foot, mouth and teats lead to decrease in milk yield , decrease body weight and affect general health status. There are seven serotypes antigenically different. Data indicate that there are three serotypes (A,O and SAT2) in Dakahlia and Dommiata Governorates at year 2013\2014. By sequencing analysis for 2 serotypes (A and O) revealed that serotype A isolate related to A\ Fayoum \2013 by 99.1% , while serotype O isolates related to O\SUD\2008 by 72.1%. While SAT2 not detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction but detected by real time RT-PCR.By measuring titres of collected sera samples revealed that there are antibody against 3 serotypes and data indicate there are significant increase in serotype A for year 2013 and significant increase in serotypes O and SAT2 at year 2014. By make experimental evaluation for lambs vaccinated by trivalent inactivated FMD vaccine revealed that lambs should be vacci9nated by inactivated trivalent FMD vaccine trail for control of disease.
