The title of the research:
The aims:
1- The current study aimed at acknowledging the level of feeling
psychological security and its relationship with the psychological
Construction of a sample of the Palestinian students in the western bank
2- Revealing some essential differences in the level of feeling
psychological security in a sample of the study that enforces some
changes: sex- college- the school year- the university- the location of
living - the income level of the family.
3- Revealing some essential differences in the level of feeling

4- Knowing some features of the psychological Construction of those who
obtained high degrees and those who got low degrees and their level of
psychological security.
The importance of the study
The importance of the study lies in the fact that the Palestinian may
have been exposed to lots of difficult situations in all fields of life and the
occupation implanted oppression in the soul of this nation- in order to
destroy their psychological built- up- in addition to the already difficult
situation they are living in the shadow of the Palestinian authority.
no breaths of freedom were inhaled but all lived under occupation- all this
difficult and cruel situation was endured by this nation and led to unstable
state of loss of psychological security and the continuity of this feeling .
This in turn led to the anxiety- worry and the spread of illnesses-
(psychological- mental- behavioral deviance) and results in negative result
on the Mental Health.
The current study thus is important as it is done on a sample of the
female & males students in college as this group is in a critical stage of life
and forms their character.
The problem of the study:
The difficult circumstances that the Palestinians live in due to the
Israeli violations of the palliations’ rights of living –freedom & work as
well as education; In addition to the daily Israeli attacks resulting in human
losses and financial losses as well.

Also there are destructive results that affected the structure of the
Palestinian community in psychology-society politics & economy.
The problem of the study studies the relationship between the level
of psychological security and the dynamics of the psychological
construction of the Palestinian college students in the west bank; through
knowing the level of psychological security the live in addition to the
features of psychological construction through the cases of those high &
low in the psychological security.
Sample of the study:
The sample is composed of ( 1811 female & males students in three -
Palestinian colleges- that represented the community of the study- ( 990- )
female & males students of the national success college. And ( 352 female
& males students of beir zeit university and ( 469) female & males students
of hebron university-they were chosen by the stratified random sample
according to the variance of sex & college.
The sample formed the (5%) approximately of the original
community.
As for the clinical sample; it was composed of four cases two cases
(female & male ) who got the highest degrees of the level of psychological
security & two cases -female & male cases who got the lowest degrees the
level of psychological security.
The methodology used:
The researcher used in this study the descriptive methodology to
perform the psychometric study and the clinical one to perform the clinical
research.
Tools of the study:
The researcher used in this study the following tools:
First- the tools of the psychometric studies- the psychological security scale
–prepared by the researcher- the psychological construction scale-prepared
by the researcher.
Clinical study: Second: the tools of the
Case studies prepared by Ibrahim Mahmoud El Qamhawythe
clinical interview prepared by the researcher.
The TAT test of adult understanding prepared by Henry Murray
The statistical tools used:
The researcher used the following statistical tools:
She chose the suitable statistical tools for the study based on the size of the
sample and its hypothesis and among those:

1 - The average count of the mathematical value & the deviance and
variance of the scales used here.
2 - t-test for the independent samples to verify the differences in the
degrees of the individuals of the sample on the changes in the research
according to gender( female- male)
3 - The analysis of the One-Way ANOVA to verify the differences in the
degrees of the individuals on the changes of the research according to
the changes of the college –the school year- the location of living- the
economic level of the family.
4 - Pearson correlation coefficient .to verify the stability of the scales as
well as measuring the relationship among the degrees of the individuals
of the sample and the changes of the study.
5 - Alpha kronbach coefficient to verify the stability of the scales used in
the study.
6 - The data was analyzed statistically by using the SPSS program as it is
easy and saves time and is good in yielding analyses.
Results of the study:
The current study resulted in: First- the psychometric study :
1 - There is a negative relationship of statistical significance on scale (
0.01) between the level of psychological security & of psychological
construction of the Palestinian college students in the west bank.
2 - The level of psychological security & of psychological construction of
both was middle in the sample of the study.
3 - There are no differences of statistical significance on psychological
security of the Palestinian college students in the west bank on the
degree of the scale according to changing factors as (sex- school year)
4 - There are differences of statistical significance on the total degree of the
security level of the Palestinian college students in the west bank on the
factors of ( college- university- location of Living- income of the
family).
5 - There are no differences of statistical significance on the level of social
structure in the Palestinian college students in the west bank on the
degree of the measuring according to the changing factors of (School
year- location of Living - income of the family).
6 - There are differences of statistical significance on the level of
psychological construction of the Palestinian college students in the
west bank on the total scale of the measurement according to the
changing factors ( sex- college- University)

Second: the clinical results of the study:
The main features of the psychological construction of The cases
losing psychological security lies in the fact that the self- acceptance of
weak and the ego disturbance as well as the disturbance of the
psychological solidity in addition to the negative relationships with the
others and the disturbance in the creative thinking . As for the
psychological traits of the psychologically secure it was the total reverse.
