Abstract
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to the completion
of this thesis.
I extend my deepest gratitude to Professor Wafaa Batran. Simply, it has been an honour and a
pleasure to work under her supervision, and I would like to thank her for her support and
encouragement.
