Abstract Nowadays, photogrammetry is the most important science for data collection and large data storage. Photogrammetric science became important and reliable tool for many applications such as mapping, architecture, medicine, geology, environment and civil engineering … etc. In order to achieve the reliability of photogrammetry, the accuracy of Photogrammetric systems were widely studied and there were lots of trials to optimize the accuracy by developing new tools and techniques. The main objectives are to study the different techniques that can be used to solve the problem of where to place the cameras in order to obtain minimal error in the 3D measurements, also called camera network in photogrammetry. In this context, the first objective of the current thesis is to develop a new proposed analytical technique to solve the problem of where to place the cameras, which called camera network in photogrammetry. To perform the proposed analytical technique, a computer program has been written using Matlab program. This program has been used to find automatically the optimal locations of the cameras stations, using the proposed analytical approach. It has been found that, the proposed analytical technique is very flexible and practical. |
