Agricultural mechanization is one of the most important technologics which contribute effectively to the improvement of Agricultural production, productivity and minimizing cost of production.
The agricultural sector in Egypt has experienced significant economic and social changes during the last years. One of these changes has been the emigration of agricultural labour force to urban areas and abroad. The increase of cost living in rural areas, which in turn has been reflected in an increase in cost of agricultural production. Also crops prices increased due to the increase in costs of production. The increase in the level of prices decreases the standard of living.
To overcome this problem governient started to encourage the expansion of appropriate mechanization in the agriculture sector. As a result, this will help narrowing the gap between food poduction and consumption and decreasing reliance an imported foods.
