Abstract The objective of this study was the assessment of humoral immune response of mice to the HCV derived peptide p36 as well as some safety parameters using biochemical and pathological methods. This objectives were achieved as follows:- (1) Determination of the immunologic profile induced by Hepatitis C virus E2 derived peptide p 36 in the different forms: peptide free (linear form),or peptide with adjuvant either : aluminum phosphate or with incomplete freund’s adjuvant or self adjuvanted [Multiple Antigenic Peptide (MAP) form] in experimental animals (Swiss Outbred female mice) (2) Detection of the circulating specific immunoglobulin in HCV chronic patients targeting our designed peptide . (3) Studying of the route of immunization (subcutaneous, intramuscular, and interproteinale in experiment animals) (4) Assessment of the safety and toxicity profile (biochemical parameters : liver and kidney functions) as well as the pathological changes in experimental animals. |
